Susan K.
Otten, principal of Otten Associates, is a long time
veteran of the computer industry with over 20 years of marketing
experience. A marketing professional with 15 years at Apple
Computer, she was responsible for all demand generation activities
for Apple's Business Division. Sue built a process to deliver
3000+ seminars annually in the U.S. and Canada, and whose
content was leveraged worldwide. Sue's team was also responsible
for marketing integration, co-marketing programs, reseller,
consultant and VAR channel programs, field communications,
and small business market development.
Sue now is helping other companies with their sales and marketing
strategy, as she established Otten Associates, a consulting
and program management firm in 2000. Otten Associates is helping
clients with sales and marketing strategy, demand generation
programs and events, field marketing, communications marketing,
teambuilding, market research and channel programs. Her varied
client list includes companies from the entertainment, healthcare,
software, Internet infrastructure, manufacturing, retail,
services, and technology sectors.
Sue has been an active member of the Computer Event Marketing
Association, serving on the Executive Board and presenting
regularly at annual conferences. She has experience teaching marketing courses at the MBA level,
specializing in teaching with real world situations. She is
also an expert on Virtual Team Management and Telecommuting,
as she is published and has presented to a variety of audiences
on the subject.
Sue is a graduate of University of Minnesota and has earned
an MBA from Benedictine University. She and her husband Ron
recently moved with their children, Garrit, and Gretja,
to Houston, Texas. She is active in her church and her kids’
athletic activities, and is training for her second marathon.
